Read MoreTravertine furniture and décor have been trending hard recently. The creamy, neutral color and organic texture of travertine and similar natural stone (travertine is a type of limestone) feed our desire for creating a warm, cozy, and nature-based home atmosphere. This travertine trend has it's design origins in 1980s and late mid-century design, and it's popularity is likely fueled by the warm minimalism movement. In fact, travertine is one of the top home décor trends according to Etsy. This creamy, textured stone is the embodiment of neutral warmth and nostalgia. I for one, couldn’t be happier. I love natural stone - furniture, décor, flooring - all of it. The heavier the better, am I right?

A lot has happened over the course of one year, and it was fun to look back to see what was most popular. I had no idea what would resonate with readers and what wouldn’t. I had never blogged before, and I was seriously winging it for at least a couple quarters. Mostly just writing what I felt I needed to get off my chest both plant and design-wise.

So without further ado, here’s the Greenhouse Studio top 10 posts!

Read MoreLooking for home office inspo? How about light, plants and neutrals meet vintage charm? The Greenhouse Studio home office renovation has been underway for some time. The construction part of it has been done for a while now, but the design details? Well… that usually seems to take me a bit longer to actually finish. Longer than it should take as I’m the first to admit. I’m still arranging and adjusting a few things, specifically the shelving, so I want to share how it got to this point; the before and in-progress shots, my inspo and mood boards, and plans.
I’ve actually been using it as my office for a couple months now and I love sitting in this light-filled space tapping away on the keyboard. Believe me though, when you see the “before” shots, you may share a bit of the surprise I feel at how much I enjoy the room now.
